Ripple v. SEC: Defendants’ attempt to block additional expert report fails

Expert discovery in the Ripple-SEC The case appears to be far from over as Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn allowed the regulator to file an additional expert report, handing it a minor victory over the fintech giant. Last month, Ripple offered to write a new rebuttal report by securities and finance expert Dr. Albert Metz on the “economic significance” of Ripple’s public announcement regarding XRP’s performance. The company argued that the new version of the report revealed nothing new. The discovery deadline has now been pushed back to May 13 in order to resubmit Dr. Metz.

The CIP 32 upgrade will allow data to be stored on-chain “transparently,” which will advance blockchain decentralization and adoption. The CIP 40 upgrade will advance Cardano’s DDoS protection and prevent users from losing their ADA guarantee.
