New France 2030 winners: The Government unveils 17 major projects to raise France to the rank of world champions in cybersecurity

Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister Delegate for the Digital Transition and Telecommunications, announced during his visit to the Cyber ​​Campus the support for 17 projects as part of the national acceleration strategy for cybersecurity in France 2030.

Essential to the sovereignty of states and a vector of trust in the economy and digital tools, cybersecurity is a major issue of our time. Fears about data security represent an obstacle to digitization, especially for VSEs and SMEs: nearly one in two business leaders say they are afraid of losing or having their data hacked[1]. Public and private players, through synergies, have an essential role to play in achieving perfect mastery of technologies, developing knowledge and strengthening the necessary skills.

Announced on February 18, 2021, the national acceleration strategy for cybersecurity has planned to allocate more than one billion euros (including €720 million in public funding) to make France a world-class nation in cybersecurity. .

This strategy is based on five axes:

  • Develop sovereign solutions cybersecurity;
  • To reinforce the links and synergies between the actors of the sector;
  • Support the adoption of cyber solutions by individuals, businesses, communities and the State, in particular via awareness-raising actions while promoting national offers;
  • Train more young people and professionals in trades cybersecurity, which is seriously out of balance;
  • Support with equity business development.

It is with this in mind that Jean-Noël Barrot announced support of €39 million in public funding for 17 large-scale projects selected via 5 schemes launched by the Government as part of France 2030. These projects aim to contribute to the development of innovative cybersecurity solutions, to strengthen collaborative dynamics between ecosystem players and to increase the cybersecurity training offer. This announcement follows other measures already implemented, such as assistance in setting up the Cyber ​​Campus or the organization of an autonomy and digital sovereignty day intended to facilitate meetings between providers of sovereign cybersecurity solutions. and major contractors in the sector.

This visit was also an opportunity for the Minister to congratulate Florent Kirchner, appointed national coordinator of the Cybersecurity acceleration strategy from 1er december. With a solid experience in research and with industrialists in the security and cybersecurity sectors, active members of various working groups on high-trust software in France and Europe, this expert will combine skills and knowledge of the actors to carry out the France 2030 mission on the cyber side. Florent Kirchner will share his time between the General Secretariat for Investment, which steers France 2030, and the Cyber ​​Campus to be in constant contact with the ecosystem.

Cybelangel – Asset Discovery and Monitoring (ADM)

Development of a solution to monitor the exposure to cyber threats of the various elements of an information system. This tool will allow users to focus their efforts to secure their attack surface towards their most critical vulnerabilities.

Snowpack & Alternativ Brightnet

This project aims to develop an overlay for securing and anonymizing exchanges on the Internet and a first application dedicated to the security of SMEs and public authorities. Using several patents from the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), the partners will develop the overlay and integrate it into an easily deployable “no trusted third party” DNS solution.


Software solutions to automatically map any network and detect attacks as anomalies. Without hardware dependency, these tools will particularly target industrial networks (IT/OT) and VSEs/SMEs, which are highly exposed to cyber threats.

SYSTEMEL, Schneider Electric & ARCYS – KICS2

Development of a customizable generic brick and administration support tools reconciling the constraints of updating cybersecurity with maintaining the safety of critical systems. It will propose an optimized compromise in terms of cost, employability and performance (availability, resilience, etc.) between a generic approach and product customization.

Quarkslab – Quarks Remote Attestation (QRA)

This tool makes it possible to ensure that equipment connected to a network is indeed that supplied by the manufacturer and that it has not been altered or copied. It will be particularly useful in critical areas using many connected objects: medical, banking and industrial networks.

Synacktiv – Taranix

This project aims to develop a range of advanced products and services for European police services for cyber investigation. The range will consist of a transportable product allowing the acquisition and visualization of data, as well as a set of servers allowing the pooling of resources between different services.

Apizee – VisoConfiance

Real-time, secure and sovereign collaboration platform, benefiting from the latest innovations in data encryption.



Creation of a platform that links IA & Cybersecurity and develops the skills necessary for the formation of an IA & Cyber ​​ecosystem. It fits into the dynamics of Campus Cyber ​​and was supported by its working group dedicated to artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.


Chapvision, Beware Cyberlabs, Olfeo, Exatrack & Quarkslab – SMART-CTI

This cyber alert and anticipation system and advanced intelligence tools will make it possible to qualify and contextualize a threat with reactivity and precision. This system collects data from multiple distributed sensors, formats it for aggregation on a high-capacity data platform. This data will be correlated, analyzed and presented in a way that provides actionable intelligence to cybersecurity managers in incident response centers.

Thales, Sekoia, Harfanglab, Glimps, Geotrend, Snowpack, Filigran, Kor Labs, Telecom Sud Paris & Grenoble INP – SCRED

This project aims to provide a set of intelligence services on the cyber threat through the provision of a single source of structured, agnostic and sovereign intelligence. Detection and cybersecurity players are associated with it in order to pool and link their knowledge bases and skills.


Cyber ​​center of excellence – DiagCyber

Development of a diagnosis based on the perspective of jobs in cybersecurity (37,000 according to France 2030) to analyze the jobs to be filled (in kind, volumes and qualifications) then make the link with existing training and skills and those to be created.

University of Montpellier – Production chain 4.0

This project makes it possible to estimate cybersecurity training needs in order to meet the needs of the “industry 4.0” sector.

CCIR Paris Ile de France & CCI Hauts de Seine – Diagnosis CS&IA-92

This project consists of facilitating the structuring of an open territorial ecosystem in which the cybersecurity and AI training offer makes it possible to increase the competitiveness of Hauts-de-Seine companies.
