About Digital November

November Digital, the international festival of digital cultures, has become in five years a regular meeting of the French cultural network abroad, at the service of innovation and the promotion of digital cultures.

This event is growing every year, with programs offered in more than 80 countries and 130 cities in 2021. This strong mobilization demonstrates the commitment of the Institut français and the French cultural network abroad to promote the access for all to new technologies, to promote the diversity of French digital creation, and to build lasting partnerships with foreign professionals.

The events organized in the establishments of the cultural network or those of its partners, in situ or online, make it possible to highlight French innovation in the field of digital creation – virtual and augmented reality, video games, new narratives, art digital, audiovisual performances, immersive theater, etc. – and report on the digital transformation of network establishments.

At the time of the metaverse, NFTs and artificial intelligence, Novembre Numérique aims more broadly to promote an international dialogue between creators, professionals in the sector and the public around new uses and digital challenges.

In parallel with November Digital, the Consulate also invites you to participate in two other major events on the Hong Kong digital scene:

- From October 17 to November 11: Microwave International New Media Arts Festival.

The Consulate is pleased to renew its partnership with Hong Kong’s most important digital art festival for its 26th edition entitled “Half Half”. Don’t miss the international digital art exhibition, the festival’s flagship event, at the Hong Kong City Hall from October 29 to November 6. You will have the opportunity to discover the French experience of augmented reality MOA – My Own Assistant of Charles Ayatsan interactive story adapted from the novel Les Furtifs by the famous French science fiction writer Alain Damasio.

- From October 30 to November 30: Exhibition of Maurice Benayoun at the Asia Society

The exhibition titled VoV: Morphogenesis of values in the project context HKACT! from the gallery Osagepresents the latest version of the most recent development of the blockchain-based neuro-design art project Value of values (VoV) by the famous French artist Maurice Benayoun. Visitors to the exhibition, in the Chantal Miller gallery, are invited to give shape to human values directly from their brains and to control their evolution by thought alone. They become knowledge workers and receive VoVs tokens from what they produced, which will be recorded in the blockchain. The VoVs art project helps us better understand human values and reflects how individuals, communities and countries confront value hierarchies.
