Do Kwon: new target of hacker group Anonymous

The group of hacktivists Anonymous promised to examine the actions of the co-founder of Terra (LUNA), Do Kwonsince its early days in the crypto space, in order to expose its alleged crimes.

A video purporting to be from the hacker group noted that,

“Anonymous takes a look at Do Kwon’s entire story since entering the crypto space to see what we can learn and shine a light on. your path of destruction.”

The group also pledged to “ensure” that Do Kwon is “brought to justice as soon as possible” in regards to the collapse of the Terra ecosystem last May, which wiped out more than $40 billion. of crypto market value.

Terra’s fall, which sent shockwaves through the entire industry and deepened the crash in the crypto market, resulted in huge losses for investors, some of whom allegedly invested all their life savings in what was billed as the currency of decentralized finance (DeFi).

In the video, Anonymous listed Kwon’s alleged crimes, including claiming he was cashing in $80 million each month from LUNA and terraUSD (UST) before they collapsed, and playing a role in another stablecoin. algorithmic called Basis Cashwhich also collapsed.

The video mentioned,

“Do Kwon, if you listen, unfortunately there is nothing that can be done to reverse the damage you have caused. At this point, the only thing we can do is hold you accountable and do something about it. so that you are brought to justice as soon as possible.”

The hacktivist group also criticized Kwon for his “arrogant tactics” in trolling competitors and critics and “acting like he would never fail.” He added that sometimes people just make mistakes and sometimes businesses fail, but “there is significant evidence that Do Kwon had bad intentions from the start.”

Anonymous is an international collective of decentralized activists that began its activities in 2003 on the anonymous social community site 4chan. The group has earned a reputation for staging cyberattacks against government institutions, agencies, private companies, and even the Church of Scientology.

Despite its many accomplishments in the past, some users claim that the group hasn’t achieved much recently.

“I don’t think I’ve seen Anonymous accomplish much, despite all their stances,” said declared one Reddit user, while another claimed the group hasn’t “been relevant for over a decade”.

Currently, the 136th largest coin by market cap, LUNA, is trading at $2.21, having risen 11.4% in one day and 4.6% in one week. The original LUNA token, in use before the upgrade to Terra 2.0is now called LUNC and is trading at $0.00007698, up 30% in one day and 26% in one week.
